The client who commissioned this team is a Manchester United fan, and like most fans of the club, they don’t have a great deal of respect for the owners. I printed out a few images of Avram Glazer, one of the owners, and used them to riff off. Even though Avram is a fairly conventional-looking human being and not a huge frog monster, I hope I was able to capture something of the smarminess, something of the greed that is projected onto him.
This beautiful specimen is made by Greebo Games. I need to paint more pieces like this – big, bold colorful. It’s a wonderful change of pace from the grim dark style I tend to wallow in.
